(Isaac) Robert Cruikshank (Born London, 27 September 1789, Died 13 March 1856) was a print maker, painter and book illustrator and the son of Isaac Cruikshank.
His most notable works included his aquatint illustrations of Charles Molloy Westmacott's The English Spy (which are reproduced here). Robert Cruikshank illustrated books during his career, but he never matched the success of his brother George Cruikshank, and he died in poverty.
A fuller [Biography od Robert Cruikshank] is available here.
The images in this gallery are taken from a book entitled "The English Spy", a collection of drawings and caricatures depicting daily life in London and Oxford.
